Rethinking Water for modern building design.

Designed around demand, Fala helps reduce waste, simplify infrastructure, and deliver water where and when it’s needed.

Fala takes a different approach.

The Fala Story

Fala rethinks how hot water is delivered. To deliver hot water instantly, systems store and circulate heated water across the building whether it’s being used or not. But that comes with inefficiencies like energy lost through continuous recirculation, water wastage, increased system complexity and infrastructure sized for peak assumptions instead of real usage. This has long been accepted as part of the system.
How does the Fala system work?

Fala is designed around demand. Instead of relying on large centralised tanks, long pipe runs and continuous recirculation, Fala delivers hot water where and when it’s needed.

Traditionally, centralised systems are designed around peak demand assumptions which can result in oversized infrastructure, energy loss and water waste. Fala takes a different approach by using electric point-of-use systems that heat water closer to where it’s used, improving efficiency and reducing system complexity.

Demand-based hot water systems respond to actual usage, not peak assumptions. By heating the water only where and when it’s needed, demand-based systems reduce inefficiencies that often exist in traditional centralised systems.

Without large storage tanks, long pipe runs and continuous recirculation, there is less energy loss across the system and less water wasted while waiting at the outlet. Reducing reliance on central plant infrastructure also frees up valuable space and makes installation easier.

This improves whole-system efficiency by matching system performance to how hot water is actually used, leading to better project outcomes across energy use, water efficiency, installation and long-term operational performance.

The right solution depends on how hot water will be used in the building. It’s not just about the number of fixtures or outlets. Fala takes a system approach, helping to match hot water delivery with actual demand, building type and project requirements.

3-phase systems are designed for high-demand applications where multiple outlets require reliable electric point-of-use hot water. This includes apartment buildings, aged care and residential care facilities. Single Phase systems are suited to commercial spaces and single outlets like basins and sinks where fixtures are located far from the central plant, helping reduce wait times and water waste.

Small storage units provide reliable localised hot water where a practical and compact solution is needed, particularly for projects that benefit from point-of-use installation without larger remote systems. Choosing the right solution begins with understanding how your building uses hot water. Fala supports this discovery through demand modelling, feasibility comparisons and practical system design advice.
